On April 6, 2009, In the Ebonite Monday Night Open Classic League at Bowl Long Island, Ray Edwards bowled games of 300-299-300 for an incredible 899 series. The sanctioned USBC series is the first 899 in New York State history, and the highest series EVER bowled on Long Island! The incredible 899 was bowled on lanes 11 & 12, and Ray was using the Ebonite One Pearl. After leaving a 10 pin in game two, Ray continued to strike out for his second 300 of the night and the 899.
